Charlotte Rose in her christmas dress from Grandma and one of the many toys she got for Christmas. the other won't sit still long enough for a picture today.

family time

Christmas day has come and gone and what a day it was. Up at the crack of dawn not because of the kids but me i was too excited to sleep. I love to wake up and see their faces when they realise he really has been despite the fact that they were killing each other only a few hours ago and were still being asked to clean their rooms.

We had so much fun opening all their gifts and playing so many games I can't count we watched some terrible tv. ( isn't that whats it's all about) and put together all the things that say some adult assembly required ( and thats just to get it out of the packet)!!

Dinner was fabulous and we broke with tradition and had beef and not turkey what would our parents say..

On the whole many hours of fun and laughter and 3 very happy children a content husband and me I am happy just to do it all for them.

swapping fun

About a month ago i joined the Crochetaholics swap blog and this month recieved and had the pleasure of sending my first package. This is not something i have evr done or even thought about before, but on I went.

I loved it it was so much fun to shop for someone esle and in turn see what some one sent for you. this months theme was Christmas with a list of things to send including a project and all it entailed, something red and white etc.

I enjoyed it so much i went in search of more places to swap. I found www.swap-bot.com I signed for a quick swap just a $ 5 value and 2 partners. What fun to see what the mail box holds for me. I am now waiting for my partners to be posted for a romance novel swap and in the new year a note pad swap.

we shall what else catches my eye.

but for now i must go laundry and other such things to do.

I just wanted to let everyone out there know about a company that really has saved Christmas for my kids. having been let down by a previous company and now thinking i am not going to get this for Christmas I went online and found karate depot they had what I needed and could send it fast. but being stupid hit the wrong shipping option ( the one that takes forever) I called their customer service department the very helpful lady on the phone said she could and would change the option and i should receive by Friday.. I just wanted to say thank you for their excellent customer service and what a pleasure it is to find a company that still thinks it is important.

if you are looking for martial arts gear I would highly recommend using www.karatedepot.com they had great prices and service.

Success. I am really pleased have not done any felting before and they came out great. all I have to do now is add a ribbon to hang and they are finished.

Now what else can I do. I really enjoyed doing this and watching them transform. kind of addictive and I definately have the bug.

The stockings and mittens before I wash them.
Hope it works!!

I have been knitting since I was 12 years old, taught by a Great aunt who used to do the most amazing peices all with no pattern. Whilst it was always something I could do it was not something I enjoyed until I had the children (3) aged 11,7, and 9 months. They have all had a special blanket and many hats, cardigans, and soft toys.

Just recently now that I have a little more free time, the baby takes long naps!! I have discovered it again. In the last month I have learnt how to do socks and this week bought myself some wool in attempt to learn to felt.

I started out small with tiny christmas stockings for the tree, but who knows where it will lead. I am hoping if they turn out ok I am going to use them as favors for a christmas meeting for the service team for my girl scout unit. I am the hostess and thought it might be nice if everyone had something to take home , we shall see they may turn out to be nothing more than doggie chew toys!!!!
